THIRD SICCR NATIONAL CONGRESS

SICCR has grown markedly over the past years, thanks to its over 600 members and can now count on the support of the contributions from the more than 70 University, Hospital and private.

The Society has very busy Internet site (www.siccr.org), where you can access all the Conference information you may need.

The 2-yearly National Conference is the most outstanding meeting event and is its most important case window expressing its scientific and organisational image. This is why we trust participation is as wide as possible.

Conference works will cover very topical issues with interdisciplinary sessions managed jointly with specialists close to us: in Urogynecology (relapse of pelvic organs and endometriosis) and Gastroenterology (stypsis, non-IBD Colitis and Crohn’s disease). Other topics will be addressed in a non-conventional but interactive manner, such as Corner or Face to face Consultants to leave as much room as possible for debate.

We trust that the third 2-yearly SICCR National Conference will be a stimulus to collect further details on such topics for all young physicians with Podium presentations in the plenary sessions and a Poster Session. Our usual appeal is made to all colleagues for them to present surgical experiences to be published in the Society’s magazine.

We have also considered professional advance of Physicians and Nurses with ad hoc conference courses on Perineal Rehabilitation, Scientific Research and Surgical Ward Safety Procedures.

Voting for renewing Society Management and General Assembly also represents an important moment.

Last but not least, the venue.
The conference is being held in Southern Italy for the very first time ever. Catania features a wonderful gulf at the feet of Mount Etna, Europe’s tallest volcano. Participants will be able to visit art sites, play golf and also taste all Sicily’s typical dishes. Local organisation will take care of the season’s favourable climate and make the stay for all guests as comfortable and satisfactory as possible.
